In 2017, Mr. Erappa established Malabar Sewing Machines. Its focus on machinery solutions, dependable service, technical support and rental solutions became the beginning of the Malabar journey. The early work was never only about supplying machinery—it was about understanding practical requirements and remaining connected with customers beyond the first transaction.

Evolution of Malabar Group

Mr. Erappa’s experience becomes the foundation for Malabar Group.

As the business developed, the relationships gained through the machinery industry and a deeper understanding of customer needs created a foundation for expansion. What began with Malabar Sewing Machines gradually evolved into the broader Malabar Group vision, guided by trust, quality, reliability, professional service, strong relationships and continuous progress.

The establishment of Malabar International in 2026 marked the next stage of the Group’s development. Created as the global operations division, MI extends the foundation built in earlier years into international business, strategic partnerships and wider opportunities. Mr. Erappa continues to guide this direction while strengthening the relationships needed for sustainable expansion.

Technology insight, business understanding and global relationships.

Mr. Lokesh is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Malabar International, bringing together technical expertise, business understanding and international relationship management in his role within Malabar Group.

Working alongside Mr. Erappa, he helps strengthen global relationships, develop international opportunities and take the Malabar vision forward.

TECHNICAL FOUNDATION

Before joining Malabar Group, Mr. Lokesh served as Technical Head at JACK Sewing Machines. The role gave him deep practical knowledge of sewing machinery, technology, factory operations and the technical requirements of the garment industry.

LEADERSHIP GROWTH

After joining Malabar Group and working closely with Mr. Erappa, his professional evolution expanded beyond technical expertise into business strategy, operations, relationship management and international business.

GLOBAL LEADERSHIP

With his combination of technology knowledge and business skills, Mr. Lokesh plays an important role in understanding opportunities, developing partnerships and maintaining strong relationships across global markets. His journey reflects continuous learning, evolution and progress under Mr. Erappa’s guidance.
